Reservation Policy
To reconfirm your reservation a deposit of 40% of the total amount and corresponding taxes are required. Please send a copy of your deposit via e-mail. Once the payment has been processed you will receive a confirmation which contains the details of your reservation. This e-mail contains important information which we ask you to please read to make sure your stay with us will be worrisome free.

- The balance payment of the villa must be cancelled upon arrival. At La Casona del Cafetal we accept cash (colones and Amercian dollars) as well as the following credit cards (Visa, Master Card and American Express). We do not accept Travellers Cheques. You may pay your balance through a bank transfer before your arrival. Contact us at reservaciones@lacasonadelcafetal.com if you wish to receive details of our bank accounts and the instructions to carry out a bank transfer. These must be done a week before your arrival. Please confirm your payment by sending us via e-mail a scan copy of the bank transfer receipt.
- During Easter, Christmas and New Year’s our prices and our minimum stay may vary.
- Pets are not allowed.
Cancellation Policy
Once you confirm your reservation with the down payment deposit you are accepting the terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy.
- A cancellation made 60 days prior to your arrival date at our hotel:
- you will be reimbursed up to 90% of your deposit, or
- you may receive a credit valid up to a year from the cancellation date.
- A cancellation made between 59 and 30 days prior to your arrival date at our hotel:
- you will be reimbursed up to 50% of your deposit or
- you may receive a credit valid up to a year from the cancellation date.
- A cancelation made between 29 and 15 days prior to your arrival date at our hotel:
- you will be reimbursed up to 50% of your deposit.
- A cancelation made 14 days or less prior to your arrival date at our hotel:
- you will not be reimbursed at all.
- All reimbursements will be made exclusively through the method of payment used and are subject to any service charges. We can not reimburse you in case of a flight cancellation. We recommend you buy a trip insurance that can protect you in this instance.
- There is no reimbursement and no credit in case of an unexpected check out.
- There are no reimbursements and no credits due to bad weather, hurricanes, tropical storms, including any inconvenience or complication that may arise due to weather, emergency alerts in the area or personal emergency (ex: broken leg).
- Any credit emitted in your favor has a one year validity from the date of cancelation. This credit may be utilized for future hotel and spa reservations or at La Casona del Cafetal or La Milpa Restaurants.
This credit may be utilized by another person only with previous written authorization.
