(1) Take the Florencio del Castillo highway East out of San José toward Cartago. (15-20 minutes). (2) Drive straight through Cartago (West to East) until you reach the park in front of the Basílica (see picture). Turn right for two blocks and then left (East).

(3) Drive all the way to Paraíso (10-15 minutes) until you reach the park. (4) Turn right this side of the park and drive 500 meters to the Fire Station (left hand side). Turn left at the intersection. Stay on the main road for the 11 kilometers to Cachí (20 minutes).

(5) You will drive past the Bridal Veil Waterfalls, the intersection to Ujarrás, and the dam befire you reach La Milpa Restaurant (left hand side) and (6) La Casona del Cafetal Restaurant (right hand side - see picture)
